The First-Time Filmmaker Sessions Online Film Festival is proud to present The Anchor – a Journey Through Epilepsy, a documentary short film that aims to create awareness on Epilepsy and inspire people to find their anchor. Directed and written by Shamindri De Sayrah and produced by Shamindri De Sayrah, Tai Hsin Shiek, and Dillon Ravindu de Silva, this film is a testament to the raw talent of first-time filmmakers. The film’s key cast includes Shamindri De Sayrah, Tayhani Kannangara, Paramie Jayakody, Lilamani De Sayrah, and Anil De Sayrah.

“This is my first short film, a story that is intended to show what life is like for someone living with epilepsy, as they go through life constantly uncertain of what will come next, with many different triggers.” said Shamindri De Sayrah of the message behind the film “Still hoping that they might find their anchor. This is my story and the story of many others.”

From April 10th to 24th, the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions Online Film Festival will be showcasing the best of independent cinema. The Anchor – a Journey Through Epilepsy is just one of the many films that will be available via Vimeo On-Demand.
