Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya, sponsored by the Rotary Colombo Uptown, was established on June 3, 2010, driven by a Noble mission to serve humanity. Over the years, the club has given spirit and life to numerous projects that positively impact countless lives nationwide. It has also provided numerous undergraduate students with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to a better future.

 

RotaTomorrow 4.0 is one of the projects dedicated to boosting member involvement and sustainability within the Rotaract movement at the University of Kelaniya. By empowering members to enhance their skills, it provides a platform for them to contribute positively to society. Through diverse community projects, Rota Tomorrow endeavors to enhance the quality of life in multiple communities.

 

Project ‘අපිටත් පුලුවන්” was a pivotal initiative spearheaded by Team Gladiators, as part of the overarching project Rota Tomorrow 4.0, organized by the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya. The project aimed to address the Sustainable Development Goal of ‘Youth Leadership and Personal Branding’, motivating young individuals to aspire towards a brighter future.

 

The project unfolded primarily in a single phase, with a single phase, with a significant event taking place on March 11 at Gurukula College Kelaniya, commencing 8.30 am. There event comprised two impactful sessions focusing on youth leadership and personal branding. Mr.P.M. Panditharathna, the counseling officer at the Divisional Secretariat, and Mr. J.P.D.W Kumara Jayalath, the community coordinating officer led these sessions respectively, providing valuable insights and guidance. 

 

Through the collaborative efforts of Team Gladiators, aided by the support of media partner ChoKoLAATe, the project ‘අපිටත් පුලුවන්” achieved its objectives. The successful completion of this phase underscores the dedication and teamwork exhibited by the Gladiators, ensuring the realization of the sustainable goal of youth leadership and personal branding. The endeavor stands as a testament to the transformative power of collective action in nurturing and empowering the youth for a promising tomorrow.
