A PORCELAIN HEART
‘’THUD!’’
‘’Shshsh…’’
‘’Did you hear that?’’
Silence whispered,
Invisible yet present.
I nodded my head
Knowing that I
Am not meant to break the silence.
Kept my human hand
On my porcelain heart,
To try and stop
The flow of invisible blood.
Carefully.
For,
the bits and pieces
Of
The broken
Porcelain heart
Could possibly bruise my human hand
Like it does to my invisible soul.
‘’THUD!’’
It got cracked anew
Crumbling into powder
Dry and scattered
Around me
As the zest of life
Drained out
Like invisible blood
Drop
by
drop.
