The chorusing carols, the sleigh bells,

the festivities, the joyous aura,

the excitement of a month so thrilling,

faded away to a perfect end of 365 days.

Thus arrived the month of uncertainties, 

still cold, but less merry,

still exciting, but more unplanned.

Now lies the unwritten pages of mystery.

Yet in the chill sparks a hopeful glint,

a chance for growth, more colors to tint.

Though it’s a lot on your plate,

it’s also the anticipation for a clean slate.

The January blues, an icy-cold ache,

amidst the stillness, the dimmed glee,

let us embrace the blues and thrive,

for through it, is a silver line we contrive.
