“Sawyer, is that you?”

“Sawyer, is that you?”

Peering over her shoulder, she nonchalantly replied to the boy whom she hadn’t seen in five years, “You’re a long way from home Landon.” He watched her though. Watched as the wind played with her dark hair softly. Watched as a smile tugged at the corner of her lips but she refused to give it away, and when his eyes finally found hers, he said, “Not really.”

I still look for you, you know,
Like I always do.

I guess it’s become more out of habit,
But I can’t seem to find you,
I never do.
Perhaps we’re looking for each other?
In all the wrong places.
At all the wrong times.
While you look left, I look right
So tell me sweetheart,
Do you look for me too?
