What to do during a power cut?

Lets face it, none of us are enjoying the long power cuts and it’s just been announced that the power cuts will last for 10 hours per day!

So to make this ordeal a bit better and so much more bearable we’ve compiled a list of things to do during the power cuts! Do with it what you will.

Board Games

It’s time to wipe the dust off of the board games that were most probably stashed away in some corner of the house. Games like Monopoly, Cluedo and LIFE will surely make the time fly by faster than one would think!

Read a book

We’re always complaining about how we don’t have the time to sit and read, well here’s your chance to do so! Read the books that have been accumulating on your bookshelf.

Get Creative!

Get your hands dirty with some DIYing – make a clay model, unleash your inner Picasso by painting a new canvas, try learning to sew (might make our brown moms extremely happy!),

Work Out/Meditate

This is the time to try your hand at mediating. Try and get a control over your inner peace as you battle your emotions on a daily basis. Work out and burn calories as you get ready for swimsuit season! Use the punching bag as a way to deal with all of that rage when it comes to the power cuts.

Cook

If you have enough gas, try out some new recipes!

Go for a physical date / hangout with friends!

With your significant other or even your friends, this is the best time to visit the cafes that have electricity (and air conditioning) and while you’re at it might as well do some speed dating. Meet up with your friends and do some face to face socializing since none of us will be willing to be on our phones for too long for fear of losing battery.

Go for a walk.

Contemplate the decisions that you’ve made so far.

Most effective way to get lost in your thoughts and forget the power cut.

Cry.

Unleash all the pent up emotion that has been stored inside you and have a good cry session.

If all else fails,

SLEEP.

Cash in those hours that you’ve stayed up and get some ZZZZZ.
