Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town Celebrates 50 Years of Service

The Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town marked a significant milestone on August 23, 2024, with its 50th installation ceremony at Elevate by Jetwing. The event, attended by over 90 participants, was a testament to the club’s enduring commitment to service and community engagement.

Rtn. Sushena Ranathunga, the District Governor of District 3220, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he commended the club’s achievements over the past five decades and encouraged members to continue their invaluable contributions to society.

The highlight of the ceremony was the installation of Rasini Bandara as the club’s 50th president. A seasoned professional with a background in psychology, public speaking, and personality development, Rasini brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. As an International Wellbeing consultant for the International Transport Federation and a non-executive director at Mind Heals private limited, she is well-equipped to lead the club’s initiatives and make a positive impact on the community.

The 50th installation ceremony was a celebration of the Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town’s rich history and a testament to its enduring legacy. For five decades, the club has been dedicated to serving the needs of the community through various projects and initiatives.
